The Death Whispers

Right lets get something straight, right off the bat.....These are not SALAMANDERS! Just cse they is green, thats astartes profiling!

They are based on the Invaders Chapter of Space Marines and have gone renegade...the edited highlights of their history is:
- Invaded and Destroyed a Craftworld (were then noticed by the lesser god Ynaeed, God of The Dead)
- Ynaeed blessed the army with Scythes to destroy their enemies with
- The remainder of the Invaders after losing their home world to a craftworld retaliation sent to Library of Jollarn to investigate the possible infiltration by Ahirman of the Thousand Sons
- Invaders trigger a Psychic trap and release a horde of Daemons (and Fateweaver) into the Library...a few  Grey Knights turn up and save the day
- After the Grey Knights depart, Invaders go STFU to the Emperor and strike out on their own to fulfill their quest/lust of killing Eldar on the battlefield as they believe that this will solve the problems

So without further delay...The Death Whispers.

Evolution of the Blog....

So, i have recently had to focus on 40K due to upcoming tournaments (carnage @ Warhammer World) and so my blog is now evolving to include all my 40k projects that are on the go....(past and present).

The next couple of posts in the coming days are going to image heavy, showcasing my various mini projects that I have recently completed or currently undertaking alongside me at the moment.


I am going to share some of my fav pieces from 40K mainly and some fantasy. Pictures to follow in the coming posts!

Highlights include:
- Death Skullz themed Big Mek and Nobz Squad
- Eldar Farseer with a basic attempt at NMM (Non-Metallic Metal)
- My Pre Heresy Dark Angels themed on the city fighting army in the second DarkAngel HH book.

Snow Bases Done and Tested....

Ok Snow Basing, didnt go so well first time, looked really crap....

But after a second coating of glue and snow...looks good!

Before the Snow....Really tempted by top left or top right....

 Camera quality is bit questionable for these, but really happy with the second layer looks alot more impressive in person.

Still can't decide what is going to happen with the basing...but i have undercoats the ogres and gnoblars, as well as airburshed basic colours....scorched brown on ogres, up to snot green on the gnoblars.

Snow Basing.......

Right I am in the process of working out snow basing, Dave has given me ideas on how to do it..so i am currently working on some spare test round bases to try and find out if doing a more grassy battlefield or more of a grey cobbled battlefield.

Also have the Ogre Slave Unit as well....which is on my turntable as we speak being primed and undercoated...just gota remember to bring back the blu tack from work!

Massive Update - Unit almost finished, Warlock done and Ogre Slave Unit built

Right, so its Saturday...My Day Off (well technically Sunday now) and I try to get as much hobby in as possible and after getting a paint from Quinn (I owe you a pint, its here now, so it must be law) and a couple of others I have made massive strides in the first unit, now only needing to decide on a basing style for them (i am thinking snow).

I have also made two movement trays....one specifically for my Ogre Clanrats...with a nice 4 space at the back if characters need to go in...or i get Death Frenzy (use a token indicator). Used alot of green stuff today on the movement trays to allow me to effectively sand the movement tray as well....

So without further a due....

Just as an alternative to do whilst i am painting the Ogre unit...as i feel i may lose my sanity with this forever ongoing project....The Island of Blood Warlock Engineer WIP. Hopefully will finish him and the first unit in the next week and then will begin my Wood Elves Unit....
