Round 1: Me and Dave were drawn against Chaos and Nids....Was Spearhead/Annihilation. (photos limited after this game as camera started to die).....
The thirty seconds before my Dreadnought was charged not just by a Winged Hive Tyrant but also a Nurgle Daemon Prince hiding on the other side of the trees.....
The last shot of the game....we won 5kill points to 4....it was a closely fought contest and our opponents were awesome.
Game 2: Vs Tau and Vanilla = Pitched Battle / 3 objectives.
Me getting ready for our second game....This is the only photo i could find...Opponents were good, but Dave forgot about his Baal Predator for a turn and meant that it was harder to contest their objective and it ended in a square all draw. It was good fun against the Tau as its not an opponent I see really in any game so good experience for me.
Game 3: Vs Grey Knights and Necrons.....Against the Newbury Manager Quinn and his partner Tom.
Now quick thing about Quinn's list, 2 sets of 10 deep striking Interceptors with Two Hammers and Two Psycannons is quite a nasty little surprise.....or you would of thought..
The Dreadnought killed 8 of the first 10man squad with a single plasma hit...Quinn then became hell bent on destroying that dread..shame he didnt!
End of the game though, I was out of range for a plasma shot and hadnt positioned the models correctly to protect the home objective, so the silly teleport move screwed us.
Also C'Tan's = PAIN IN THE ASS.....We lost so much to this C'Tan ability of destroying your own weapons screwing us for our wiping out the troop choice on Quinn and Tom's Objective, meaning a loss instead of a draw.....disapointing but fun none the less!
At the end of the day a lovely awards ceremony occured and some of her Reading Raptors proved their metal winning 3 games and winning best painted army (well done Wes, who was with Elliott). I really recommend looking at their 'reworded team name'....
Congrats to all, even those that didnt win...Remember its all about the fun!
Reading your blog not only reminded me what great fun Carnage was, but it also persuaded me to do my own version too!
